Problems with large collections

I am playing with the demo version from this site, 8.0.03.  I added about a hundred albums and it appeared to work.  I decided to try something much large.  I then uninstalled the software from my win7 box, and deleted all the misc files left over in the profiles and program files.  I installed a new copy in a new folder off the root drive.  I then pointed etouch to load a collection of around 300,000 songs through the advanced options config.  It took a few hours, but it was able to read all the files.  I started up etouch and nothing is showing up in the software.  I did an export track as csv to see if it had anything and it only created a csv with about 183,000 files.

Any ideas why none of the music is showing up in etouch or why the exporter is either exporting partial tracks?  Kind of interesting as well that the way it is listed in the csv files are all out of order, not the order it was scanned in, almost appearing very random.  Also in the advance config, the creation tools button is showing up no tracks or albums listed to be edited.

On windows 7 you need to install it outside of the Program Files folder, say

C:\E-Touch V8\

You will also need to set the properties for config, skintool and e-touch exe's to run as admin. You then should be good to go. My collections is about 280,000 tracks and it works fine so your collection size shouldn't be the issue.

Thank you for the reply.

I installed it in its own folder off the root previously c:\etouch\  I have windows UAC turned off on my test box, so admin shouldn't be a problem.  However I will try running it as admin and see if it does anything.   Thanks.

I have windows 7 64bit and it works ok, I run it as admin because otherwise it puts the files in some odd places and E-Touch doesn't like it. You should see your full album list in the config once it's completed.
