Hi, first an introduction I'm Nev from Brisbane Australia. I've been looking a quite a few Jukebox software packages and have been quite surprised by this one. Had a play with the demo and soon after sent off my $35 because it was so good. I'm running V7 as V8 does not run well on my machine getting some errors. I'm running Win 7 on an old Macbook with Bootcamp which is far from ideal but I want it to be a dedicated music machine for the Karaoke Jukebox I'm setting up. Long story, had a huge party a month ago, paid $300 to rent a Juke / Karaoke machine and it was a piece if crap. I told my wife that I could build a much better machine for less then what it costs to rent one. So far I'm doing OK spending $50 on an old Samick 1600 mixing console, $100 on a 100w Sony amp and 150w Pioneer Speakers, $35 on this great software and around $30 on various cabling, $10 on an old 21" monitor (unfortunately not touch). That leaves $85 to spend on some microphones and I'll just use my 6 year old Macbook. Should be a kickass system when running.
Anyhow the only issue I have is that I've loaded up a heap of Sunfly albums for Karaoke and then I do the search by Artist, it only brings up results for V, Various Artists. I've updated all the MP3 tags so the Artist is the actual artist and the Album Artist is "Various Artists". E-Touch seems to look at the Album artist for this search instead of the Artist. Can I change this so my Artist search works ?

Barcrest

It uses the artist in the tag, it will return the right tracks on a search. Where are you seeing various artists?

Hi Barcrest, I've attached a screen capture of the search. V is the only letter that returns any results. All other letters return nothing. The search is returning the album artist and album title where if it could return the artist and track title that would be great.

Thanks, Nev.

Barcrest

That is the quick search results if you actually hit search it should display all karaoke tracks by that artist.

Thanks, Ive got V8 working now and using the full search instead of the quick search works. If the quick search worked too It would be nice. I worked out the problem I had with V8 that I didn't with V7. I stored all my library on a USB drive with the software on my hard drive. In V8 when I went into the config program it gave the error invalid directory and closed. I shifted the software to the USB drive, same as the library and it now works.

Hi, I picked up your comment in another thread about the registry entry. That could have been my issue too.

Cool glad you have managed to solve your issues.  :beer
